Jorge Masidal's son attacks cornhole champion before crushing defeat - but UFC star wants a trilogy

If you thought Jorge Masvidal was a man to be feared, it seems like his son is going to be a problem, too.

The UFC superstar faced off against Cornhole champion Cody Henderson on Wednesday night in a special grudge match on ESPN, but the former had a 15-point head start.

Of course, that didn't matter. Henderson 'knocked out' Masvidal in three rounds and swept the new box office sensation aside, but 'Gamebred' is undeterred in his ambition to beat Cornhole's finest.

"First of all, I want to say - because I've competed with him twice - and I can say this from the bottom of my heart; this guy is on steroids and adderall. I want a rematch, I want the third one and I want two years to prepare for it. I'm p***** as hell.

"Cody, get ready for it. They're going to catch you, you're going to pop for steroids and adderall all in one night, man. You on something special," Masvidal joked in his post-match interview.

Prior to the contest, Henderson and Masvidal had a face-off to build excitement for the encounter and the UFC welterweight pulled down his opponent's mask in an attempt to get in his foe's head.

Masvidal got a shove in the chest, but fortunately his young son was there to back his dad up as he delivered some leg kicks a prime Jose Aldo would have been proud of.

Back to Masvidal's real business inside the octagon, Leon Edwards called out the Miami-native this week suggesting it's the only fight out there beyond champion Kamaru Usman that makes sense for him right now.

“Let’s make it happen, it’s the only fight that make sense for me outside the championship,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I truly believe I’ll stop him,” Edwards recently told the South China Morning Post. “He’s nothing special. I knew that before he got beat by Usman.

"He fought Ben [Askren], Ben was s***. Nate Diaz is a journeyman. He beat Darren Till. That’s the only good win he’s had, Darren Till. Everyone else [he’s beaten] are average fighters, and he’s got this mad hype around him. I truly believe I would smoke him.”
